KAREN MILLEN

As experts in archival outerwear, we were approached by Karen Millen to evolve the cornerstone of a wardrobe, ‘The Coat’, for AW22. The result was a brightly hued capsule - “Colour Drop”.

Inspiration was drawn from traditional men’s outerwear, ranging from overcoats and trench coats to dispatch riders. We looked at these key historical shapes and details and juxtaposed them with acid tones inspired by vintage Japanese nylon pieces which we referenced from our own archives.

Trench coats were reimagined in hot fuchsia leather, wool overcoats in flame orange and sporty leather puffers in emerald green.
